| The calendar is suspended through the end of the summer, or until further notice. As of this writing (June 1st), plans are for the calendar to resume on September 1st. CALENDAR "POLL" This calendar is a lot of work. In fact, it's constant work, since some event organizers don't announce their events until a week before it happens (sometimes only a couple of days before!). And that's fine--better late than never--but it means the calendar is always having to be updated. So? I'm not sure that many people are even using it. I regularly get emails from people who know about the calendar asking "what's going on this weekend?" And there are event planners who plan events for the same day and time as other events in the same town--sometimes when there are already multiple events listed on the calendar for that same town, time and day! I don't get that. But again, clearly, at least some people whom you would think would be using the calendar, are not. So my question is: is it worth it? I'm willing to continue the calendar, but if no one's really using it, that seems like a waste of effort that could be better expended elsewhere. What do you think? I'd be interested in hearing from as many of you as care to write in. Email address: bryanroth@coloradopoets.org. Please feel free to write for information about readings in your area.
